"This food truck thing is starting to catch on. I've been to several around town and thought they were interesting," said Randy Wyse, president of the Jacksonville Association of Firefighters.

Not only will some Jacksonville Jaguars be judging the food trucks to see which one is the best, but there will be bounce houses, arts and crafts, water slides, and plenty of other activities for kids. All of the money raised goes directly to charity.

"That's our arm that really helps things like the muscular dystrophy and our burn camps. Also a lot of other charities around here that we will spread a little money around in those area to help some of those out," Wyse said.

For the firefighters that are taking part in this event, it's just another way that they are helping the community.

"It's really the firefighters serving you on and off the job. They do their 24-hour shift on and serve you there, then a lot give back to the community and help in that way, too."

"We have a lot of firefighters that donate out of their own pockets in our charities and this is just a way to help raise some more."

The event is at the Firefighters union hall which is located just off Interstate 10 at 625 Stockton Street, at the corner of Stockton and Phyllis streets.
