Jacksonville police: Man shot at apartment complex in Woodstock

3 vehicles also hit by gunfire, JSO says

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man was shot and three vehicles were hit by gunfire early Wednesday evening at an apartment complex in the city's Woodstock neighborhood, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said.

The shooting was reported just after 5:30 p.m. at an apartment complex on Sophia Street, just north of Commonwealth Avenue.

Investigators learned a man had been shot and someone took him to nearby Fire Station 17 on Huron Street. They also discovered three cars had been hit by gunfire. 

Police said the man was treated for his injuries at the fire station and then transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. His current condition is unknown.
