JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man is in critical condition after he was shot in the chest early Thursday morning at 21st and North Main street, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
"He was able to flee from the suspect where he collapsed at 19th and Main Street," SJO Sgt. Butler said

The owner of Burgers and BBQ saw the injured man and called police. He stayed with the victim until officer and rescue units arrived.
The victim was transported to UF Health Jacksonville. Police are now searching for a suspect.
