The victims were at Zaxby’s on University Boulevard in January 2013 when Meeks approached them in the parking lot with a gun.

Meeks threatened the victims and demanded their belongings. The victims fought back, but Meeks stole a purse and a vehicle from one of the victims.

Meeks was involved a few days later in a hit-and-run accident while driving the stolen vehicle. He was arrested after leading officers on a high-speed chase.
