JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 29-year-old man who crashing his motorcycle on Acree Road in western Duval County on New Years Eve died early Friday morning.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says Eugene Mayberry was riding north on Acree on a Honda motorcycle at 9:53 p.m. Dec. 31 when the motorcycle ran off the road and crashed for unknown reasons.

Mayberry was transported to UF Health at Jacksonville Fire-Rescue. Police say he was pronounced dead at 1:57 a.m. Friday.
JSO said no one else was hurt. Acree Road was closed while traffic homicide detectives conducted an investigation.
When his name was released Friday, police said the investigation of the accident was ongoing.
