JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – This time of year is graduation season and many high school students are heading off to college. There many majors available to students, including choosing a music career. But the chance for high school students to embrace music education has lessened because of budget cuts.
In 2007, Michael Butler created the I Love Music Foundation to fill that void. Butler says he has seen firsthand how budget cuts and lack of awareness had affected school music programs. The ‘I Love Music Foundation' works year-round to give students the opportunity to continue their music education.
121 Financial Credit Union is the foundation partner. Saturday morning, VP of marketing for 121 Financial Credit Union and Michael Butler, the founder and executive director of the ‘I Love Music Foundation' appeared on The Morning Show. The band ‘GUDGUD' performed on set. ‘GUDGUD' is a progressive R&B group that consists of three entertainers; Nina, Britney and Princess.
