One Spark festival expanding to Berlin

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – One Spark 2014 is just weeks away from taking over Hemming Plaza. This is the crowd-funding festival's second year and Thursday it kickstarted 2014's event with a major announcement: there will be a One Spark in Berlin in mid-September.

The announcement was made at an event held at the Florida Theater.

One Spark organizers made it clear the main focus right now is One Spark 2014 here in Jacksonville which runs from April 9-14.

"The home of One Spark, its where were headquartered where we started, where we're going to continue to be," said Joe Sampson, executive director of One Spark.

Sampson tells Channel 4 Jacksonville will always be the heart of One Spark.

"We're going to continue to spread internationally and expand the One Spark brand, which is really exciting, but right now the primary focus is on this monster event we're producing in just a few weeks," said Sampson.

Jason Pratt and his two brothers make up Pratt Guys,  specializing in building backyard furniture. Not only is Pratt excited to show off his own work, but also to see the creations of others.

"We're looking forward to meeting all of those creators, seeing what they have to offer and seeing how they plan to help Jacksonville become ever greater," said  Pratt.

This year's One Spark will have 632 creators in 20 square blocks around Hemming Plaza,
