Gerrod Wilson, 23, is charged with killing Demetrius Robinson, 32, and Jennie Hawley, 34, on Dekle Avenue on July 1, 2016.

Police said Robinson, from Columbia, South Carolina, was found shot to death in a vacant lot next to a home, and Hawley was found in the driveway with multiple gunshot wounds. She died at UF Health Hospital.

Witnesses identified the shooter as Wilson, and the vehicle he was driving at the time was found behind a family member's home nearby, police said.

Police got an arrest warrant on the murder charges for Wilson, but he wasn't found until Monday.

His girlfriend, Charity Coleman, 24, was also arrested Monday for harboring a fugitive. She was arrested on that same charge in February when detectives learned she was hiding him in her apartment, knowing that he had an outstanding warrant for murder, police said.

Coleman has been charged as an accessory after the fact on a capital felony.

Police said they believe the shooting stemmed from a dispute over money.
