Police: Gunman dressed as woman robs Regency-area bank

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The BB&T Bank on Hutchinson Park Drive, off Trednick Parkway north of Regency Square, was robbed Tuesday morning by a man dressed as a woman, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

The black man, described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, thin build, wearing a wig, a hoodie, a long skirt and sunglasses, entered the bank just after 9 a.m. Robbery detectives said he approached a teller, showed a gun and demanded money. He left the bank with cash, but was not seen getting into a vehicle.

No one was hurt. The bank was closed while police gathered evidence.
