Police: Shots fired at moving car on Northside road

No one was hurt by the bullets

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Officers are investigating an incident on the Northside where the driver of a car fired several shots at another moving car Saturday night.

It happened around 9 pm Saturday along Lem Turner Road. Investigators said at least two bullets hit the back of a silver Chevy Impala.

The driver of the Chevy Impala pulled over and fled. Investigators said the driver jumped a fence and knocked on the door of a nearby home.

Police tell Channel 4, the homeowner told investigators the man was holding his stomach, where he may have injured himself trying to get over the fence.

Investigators said they believe the drivers involved did not know each other.

"Right now, we're trying to develop leads, knock on some doors," said Sgt. Bobby Lyle with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. "This is basically a commercial, industrial area so, we're trying to see if any of the businesses have video and work from there."

Investigators said they do not have any suspects. No one was hurt by the bullets.
