JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A University of North Florida student committed suicide in his residence hall Wednesday, university officials said.
Officials said a wellness check was requested for the student, and housing staff found his body.

The student didn't have a roommate, officials said.
UNF said grief counseling is available to students, faculty and staff at the UNF Counseling Center by calling 904-620-2602 or by going to the office located in Building 2.
