JSO to hold gun buyback event Jan. 11

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – In about a week and a half, the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office will hold another gun buyback event aimed at reducing the number of guns in the community.

At the last event in October, nearly 700 guns were brought in. They were then sent off to be melted down.

People will get $50 cash for each gun handed over to police.
