JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A 32-year-old Jacksonville man was convicted Wednesday evening on charges of sexual battery and kidnapping.

In June 2012, Garry Johnson grabbed a 27-year-old woman from behind and attacked her as she was walking home from the store.

Johnson dragged the woman behind a building and sexually battered her. He fled the area but was later arrested after DNA evidence connected him to the crime.

Johnson faces life in prison. He will be sentenced on Dec. 2.
