Betty Hicks is described as a black woman with black hair and brown eyes, 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 230 pounds. She has freckles on both cheeks.  She was last seen wearing a stocking cap, black leather jacket, gray hoodie and blue jeans.

Authorities believe Betty may be headed to Alabama, where it is reported that she was located the last time she went missing, even though she has no known family or friends there.

Lisa Hicks, who reported her sister missing, told authorities that Betty has a mental illness, and she did take some of her medications with her, but not all.

The sister also told police Betty withdrew all the funds from her bank account on Jan. 4 and also took a Social Security check with her.

The Lake City Police Department said it has exhausted all leads and is asking the community for help. Anyone with any information concerning the location of Betty Ann Hicks is asked to call Investigator David Greear at 386-758-5451, or contact the Lake City Police Department anonymously on the TIP line at 386-719-2068.
