Man, 33, convicted of murdering 70-year-old woman

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 33-year-old Jacksonville man was convicted Friday afternoon for his involvement in the murder of a 70-year-old grandmother.

George Landgraff was found guilty of first-degree murder and armed burglary with assault or battery in the death of Lola Faulk.

In July 2009, Faulk's grandson found her brutally beaten and shot to death inside her home. Her dog was also found dead on top of her.

The investigation revealed that Landgraff and two co-defendants broke into Faulk's home to commit a burglary. Several items were taken from the home, including a large TV.

In the midst of the burglary, Faulk was shot multiple times and struck with a concrete block.

Landgraff now faces mandatory life in prison and will be sentenced the week of Nov. 18.
