JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A 55-year-old Jacksonville man was arrested on charges of charges of battery, domestic violence and false imprisonment after he held a woman who lives with him against her will, prompting a SWAT standoff, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.

Police were called to the home on Morgana Road North off Rogero Road in Arlington about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday after receiving a call from the woman saying she had been battered.

Police said they could see inside house that the man, identified as Paul Hudson, was escorting the woman around and not allowing her to come to the door.

A SWAT negotiation team was eventually called to the home, and after about an hour, Hudson came to the door and surrendered himself, police said.

The woman had a minor cut on her face, police said.

Police said Hudson and the woman lived together, but their relationship was unknown.
