Man convicted in March stabbing

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A jury convicted a 42-year-old Jacksonville man Wednesday on charges of second-degree attempted murder.

In March, Reginald Richardson and his co-defendant, Jacqueline Fisher, got into an argument with Darrin Banner at the Shannon Ridge Apartments on Shenandoah Avenue.

During the argument, Richardson pulled a knife and stabbed Banner on the left side of his body. As Banner tried to get away, Richardson stabbed him again.

Richardson then gave the knife to Fisher. Police later found the knife in Fisher's apartment.

Fisher pleaded guilty to a charge of tampering with evidence in August. She will be sentenced next week.

Richardson faces 15 years in prison. His sentencing is also set for next week.
