JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A man in his mid to late 30s was found dead on the steps outside his apartment, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office. His death was initially investigated as a homicide, but police said Thursday there was no foul play.
Police were called to the complex in the 14000 block of Jose Vedra Boulevard, near the Intracoastal Waterway.

The victim had already been served with an eviction notice, and his body was found by personnel at the complex who went there to ensure he was leaving, police said.
