In 2011, Howard broke into a home on Ephrata Court. The homeowner died in 2007, leaving the property and the antiques inside to her granddaughter. When the granddaughter stopped by the house, she found several antique items missing.

Evidence showed that Howard took the furniture and then sold the antiques at a yard sale. The granddaughter spotted the antiques at the yard sale and contacted police.

When officers arrived, they found Howard selling the items.
