JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A 22-year-old man was sentenced this week to 40 years in prison for his conviction on charges of attempted murder and possession of a firearm by a juvenile delinquent.
According to prosecutors, Kyle Jamar Walker went to visit the victim's apartment in September 2012, pulled out a gun and demanded money from the victim.
After the victim advised that he didn't have any, Walker continued to demand money and threaten the victim, then shot him in the face before fleeing.
The victim later recovered from his injuries.
