Man sought after robbing woman at liquor store

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Police are looking for a man they said robbed a woman outside a liquor store at 3635 Emerson St. on Sept. 19.

The victim told police that while she was walking to the store looking through her purse for her money, a white man approached her and took her purse and fled. The victim said she ran after the man in an attempt to recover the stolen cash.

The victim caught up with the man at a gas station at 3511 Emerson St. and asked the him for her money back. The man then replied that he had a gun, which he never showed.

Police said the robber was picked up a short time later by a white woman in an older, white four-door Toyota Camry with missing rear hub caps and partial license plate "A73" or "AZ7."

The robber was reported to be about 33 years old, about 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 160-180 pounds, with brown hair.

The woman driving was reported to be between 30 and 35 years old, about 5 feet 3 inches to 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, with blonde hair.

It was reported that there were three children sitting in the back seat of the vehicle.
