JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Police in Jacksonville are warning the public that at least one man may be sexually assaulting women downtown.
There have been four cases in the downtown core since Feb. 8 (plotted on map, above) that have similarities, police said. The most recent one was Friday morning on East Washington Street.
Investigators have not named him as a suspect in the other three cases because they don't have the evidence, but they do say all the cases are similar in nature, which is why they've released Gallion's name.
Police are looking for Gallion.
"With the first one, he was with her several hours before he dragged her and took her to another location and attempted to sexually assault her," JSO Asst. Chief Chris Butler said. "In truth, the women are asleep on the sidewalk when he comes up."
In all the cases, the female victims have been homeless or transients, but police want everyone to be aware because they say the suspect or suspects could strike anyone. The victims have all been white women between 39 and 68 years old.
If you know anything of Gallion's whereabouts, call Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
