Man steals ATM from Ponte Vedra hotel

Deputies trying to ID man, woman seen in video

PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. – Detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office are looking for a man in connection with the theft of an ATM machine from a Ponte Vedra Beach hotel Sunday afternoon.

The ATM was in a hallway near the elevators on the first floor of the Hilton Garden Inn. It was discovered missing Monday morning.

Surveillance video showed the man walked through the front doors of the hotel at 3:27 p.m. Sunday and toward the area of the elevators. He was seen on a second camera walking in from the pool area with a dolly and then removing the ATM through the pool door.

A woman is also being sought in connection with the theft for questioning. She was seen on the video holding the door open for the man.

The thief is described as a white man, 5 feet 10 inches tall, with brown hair. He was wearing a dark long-sleeve shirt, jeans and white sneakers.

The woman is described as white, 5 feet 4 inches tall, with brown hair. She was wearing a white long-sleeve jacket, pink jeans and white shoes.
