They said the fire was the result of an explosion in the bathroom and was quickly contained to that area and extinguished.

Evidence obtained at the scene revealed several items that were allegedly used in the production of methamphetamine, deputies said.

In addition, investigators said they found a store receipt showing the purchase of several items located inside the uninhabited home used in the manufacturing of meth.

Detectives said they obtained video of the man who they said purchased the items, then left the store.

Anyone with any information concerning the man's identity is asked to call Detective Frank Ferris III at the St. Johns County Sheriff's Office at 904-209-2439 or Crime Stoppers at 888-277-TIPS (8477).
