JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Michael Dunn, the man accused of murdering 17-year-old Jordan Davis in a dispute over loud music, appeared in court briefly Monday morning.
Dunn is awaiting his second trial in the case. It's scheduled to start in Sept. 22.
Dunn says he shot into an SUV full of teenagers in November 2012, claiming self-defense.
He was convicted in February of three counts of attempted second-degree murder. A mistrial was declared on the murder charge because the jury couldn't reach a verdict.
Dunn's next pretrial hearing is set for Aug. 25.
