Ms. Senior Jacksonville pageant Saturday

Contestants, women over the age of 60, competing for the crown

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Ms. Senior Jacksonville Pageant is back with a new batch of ladies competing for the crown.

This pageant is unique in that every contestant is over 60 years old.

There is no swim suit competition, but the contestants will be competing in several categories including talent and formal wear.

Pageant director and founder Kenyonn Demps created the pageant in 2009 and said the pageant gives senior women an opportunity to shine.

Demps said the pageant assists with self confidence, public speaking, talent, making new friends, and exploring the world of pageantry.

In the 2014 pageant there are seven contestants fighting for the crown.
