Northside roads reopen after gas leak

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A gas leak on the Northside forced West Eighth Street at Myrtle Avenue to be closed Friday afternoon, according to Jacksonville Fire-Rescue.

Firefighters said a 150-pound propane tank began leaking at a business in the area just before 3 p.m.

Firefighters were burning off the gas. They said the tank was less than half full.

The roads reopened by 4 p.m.
