Investigators said he brutally beat and raped four women in Marion County in 2011. Frye was arrested in October 2011 after being linked to the crimes through DNA tests, investigators said.

Several police officers testified during the trial, and jurors saw Frye's video recorded interview with police. In the video, Frye denied kidnapping a woman by pulling her into his father-in-law's green minivan last year and raping her.

The woman took the stand during the trial, recalling what had happened to her on Oct. 12. The woman told jurors Frye drove her to a secluded wooded area where she was told no one would hear her scream. In graphic detail, the victim told jurors Frye tortured and raped her while threatening to slit her throat with a box cutter. The victim slashed Frye with a box cutter, which police used to identify his DNA, and was able to free herself.

In the video, Frye told police he hurt his head while working on a car.
