Orange Park votes to raise e-cigarette age limit

ORANGE PARK, Fla. – The Orange Park Town Council voted 5-0 on Tuesday night to raise the age limit in which a person can purchase e-cigarettes to 18.

Under the ruling, e-cigarettes now fall under the same category as cigarettes. They will be sold from behind the counter.

And any public place that bans cigarettes now bans e-cigarettes, too.

The ordinance fines individuals for their first and second offenses. Violators could face a $500 fine or 60 days in jail.
