Assistant State Attorney Christina Opsahl presented evidence to the court that Leonard qualified to be declared a habitual felony offender, which is what Circuit Judge Carlos E. Mendoza did.

Leonard is a defendant from the "Dirty 30" operation conducted by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Tri-County Task Force and the Palatka Police Department. The arrests were made in June 2011.

On Sept. 10, 2010, Leonard sold 110 Roxicodone pills for $1,600 to a confidential source. Roxicodone is a brand of oxycodone.
