Pedestrian struck, killed in Casselberry

Rain may have played role in crash

CASSELBERRY, Fla. – A man was struck and killed late Sunday night while crossing a roadway in Seminole County, according to police.

The pedestrian was hit on State Road 436 near Wilshire Boulevard in Casselberry.

According to police, a driver was headed eastbound when the man stepped into the road and was struck.  The man was not in a crosswalk, police said.

It was raining at the time of the crash, which may have played a role in the incident, police said.

The man has not been identified.

It's not known if the driver will face any charges.
