Jenkins and two co-defendants robbed the pharmacist and a pharmacy tech at gunpoint in Ormond Beach. They jumped over the counter to prevent their victims from escaping before forcing them to the ground with guns pointed to the back of their necks and then duct taped them.

In addition to robbing the pharmacy of narcotic pills, they robbed the victims of their personal belongings. The defendants were captured after fleeing into Flagler County.

Jenkins' co-defendant, Freddie Giddens Jr., has already been convicted at trial and was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
