Police: 2 charges added against man with HIV who didn't tell sex partners

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – There are two new charges against a Jacksonville man accused of having sex and infecting two partners with the HIV/AIDS virus without telling them.

One of the two new charges against 35-year-old Taveres Newsome is a third count of having sex without disclosing he had AIDS.

According to a police report, a woman contacted the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office about her relationship with Newsome after being told by another woman he was HIV positive. She has been tested herself, and so far she is not.

The other new charge against Newsome is assault on a pregnant woman.

According to a police report, Newsome was diagnosed with the AIDS virus in 2008.
