Henderson exited the apartment after deputies gave commands using a loudspeaker to come out of the building. He was then taken into custody.

A Tec-9 semi-automatic 9mm handgun was recovered later from a nearby storm drain.

Officials said Henderson had become upset April 29 after his kids were involved in a water fight with other children in the complex. Witnesses told officials Henderson tried to fight several adults, returning later with a gun.

Officials were called but found no firearm and no arrests were made at the time.

Henderson is now charged with aggravated battery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated assault with intent to commit felony, firing a weapon and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was booked at the Columbia County Detention Center Saturday, where he is being held without bond.

The woman wounded in the shooting was said to have non life-threatening injuries.
