Police said that on May 23, $1,043 went missing from the victim's purse while she was in a business meeting. Her purse was in her office.

This theft was not the first time the victim reported valuables stolen from her office. Over the last six or seven months, she and other reported money that had gone missing on several occassions.

Police determined that the theft was by an employee because it is a locked down facility.

They said Malama confessed to stealing cash from purse but not the other thefts.
