Police believe Schadowsky (pictured, below) was shot while he was driving and then drove off into the woods. Homicide detectives were investigating his death as a possible road rage incident.

Police said they have one female witness who called 911 and said she heard a single gunshot and saw lights in the woods.

Police said a possible vehicle of interest was seen following the victim's pickup. It was described to investigators as a burnt orange Chevrolet Avalanche or Cadillac Escalade with a FAMU license tag.

Police canvassed the area looking for anyone who may know more about what happened. They interviewed people at a nearby Gate gas station to see if Schadowsky may have stopped at the gas station or if anyone had heard of some sort of argument that may have happened prior to the accident.

According to police, they believe Schadowsky was heading to Interstate 295 when he went off the road.

Anyone with any information about what happened is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 866-845-TIPS.
