JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A 55-year-old Jacksonville man is charged with murder and attempted murder in the shooting death of his 57-year-old brother and shooting of his brother's wife early Sunday morning.
According to a police report, Louis Pender said "I'll love you forever" before shooting his brother, Ernest Pender, and sister-in-law, Balarie Pender, as they sat on a couch.

Homicide investigators were called to the scene in the 1600 block of L Engle Street in Northwest Jacksonville about 12:15 a.m.
Louis Pender told police there was a family dispute, and the victims "drove" him to it.
Pender was convicted of murder in a 1976 robbery and served more than 20 years in prison before his release in 1998.
