JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – While families are still waiting for justice, Saturday was about remembering lives cut short because of violence.
Hundreds of people gathered at a Northside church to remember two sisters, Keyonna and Keshell Brown. They were two of the four victims shot to death in a Murray Hill home last week.
Police say someone shot and killed the four inside a home on Nov. 7. Investigators have been tight lipped about the investigation, but continue looking for the killer.
Sisters Keyonna and Keshell, Gontrell Hagans and Derek Williams were laid to rest at three separate churches on Saturday.
At the funeral of the Brown sisters -- Keyonna and Keshell -- it was heart wrenching to see two caskets from the same family at the front of the church.
Friends and family poured into the service to remember the vibrant young women.
"Always laughing, always laughing," former roommate Ziomara Noble said of the sisters.
The church seats about 900 people, and it was a packed house at the service. Friends and family say that's just proof of how much these girls were loved.
"They were sweethearts," said Briana Williams, a friend of the sisters. "As you can tell from the turnout, they were loved by so many people."
The service focused on celebrating the girls' lives, but friends can't help but wonder who's behind the shooting.
"Prayers go out to her family, and I just hope they find the person who did this," said one guest at the service. "God knows who did this."
