Searching for Christmas morning armed robber

Man held up Kangaroo store in Fernandina Beach

FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. – Deputies in Nassau County are asking for the public's help in finding a man who robbed a convenience store on Christmas Day.

Deputies said the man went into the Kangaroo store in the 1400 block of Lewis Street in Fernandina Beach about 9 a.m. Dec. 25 and robbed the store's cashier at gunpoint.

The robber is described as a white man about 6 feet tall, 235 pounds and has a blonde/reddish goatee. He was wearing a tan ball cap with a brown bill, a black trench coat, teardrop sunglasses and bandanas tied around his neck. He's believed to be between 28 and 38 years old.
