In August 2011, Watson got into a verbal argument with Jerome Jones and Ibri Bryant. The argument was the result of Bryant making a hand gesture at Watson's sister.

During the dispute, Watson shot a gun into the air. The two victims then walked away from the area, and Watson followed. Two fights then broke out, and Watson shot Jones and Bryant.

Watson is a four-time convicted felon.
