They said after sending out a nationwide alert for the man who robbed a Wells Fargo bank on Cathedral place, the Mount Pleasant police took the photos from the St. Augustine robbery and matched them to Ozarowski.

In both photos, Ozarowski was wearing the same jacket, police said, adding that found in his hotel room were white tennis shoes similar to ones worn in the St. Augustine bank robbery.

Ozarowski absconded from probation a couple of months back and has committed nine armed robberies in the last three weeks, police said.

Since 1975, he has been arrested on 14 felonies, many of them on armed robbery charges. He also served time in the federal prison system for robbery.
