ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – A St. Johns County man was convicted Friday for killing a man in the parking lot of a St. Augustine pub in September 2011.

Christopher Fries was found guilty of first-degree murder with a firearm Friday, according to the State Attorney's Office in St. Johns County.

A St. Johns County jury deliberated for an hour and a half before finding Fries guilty as charged in the death of Paul Crookshank.

Fries faces mandatory life in prison and will be sentenced March 4.
