Albritton, who was babysitting the girl, admitted to shaking the child at some point during her care, deputies said.

The baby was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Deputies said the girl's symptoms were consistent with being shaken.

Deputies said it's unknown at this time what, if any, long-term medical effects there may be for the girl.

The baby is the granddaughter of the Columbia County clerk of courts.
