BUNNELL, Fla. – A 25-year-old man living in his car was arrested Thursday afternoon and charged with the February murder of a Palm Coast gas station clerk, Flagler County Sheriff Jim Manfre announced Friday morning.
Joseph Bova II is charged with first-degree murder in the execution-style killing of Zuheily Roman Rosado at the Mobil Mart.
"This was a particularly disturbing homicide, and it was a particularly difficult homicide to investigate," Manfre said in announcing the arrest Friday morning.
He said that since nothing was taken during the store shooting, investigators have not established a motive for the "cold, calculated" killing. There was no known connection between Bova and the victim.
"We do not have a motive at this time," Manfre said. "I think that's what makes this case even more unsettling. At this point it seems to be a murder without motive. We will be continuing to work this case until we find one."

Bova (pictured, right) was living in his car at the time and video surveillance allowed detectives to identify it as a match to a suspicious vehicle in the area. Bova was also placed in the Mobil Mart two hours before the killing using an ATM at the store.
Manfre said Bova had 400 contacts with law enforcement during his time in Flagler County but was never arrested and has no criminal history.
"Due to the random nature of this, it's not going to make the healing process any easier," Manfre said. "That certainly that does not help a community that wants answers."
Bova was arrested by Boca Raton police after a search of the car he was in turned up the murder weapon, Manfre said. He was charged with murder and was being held in the Palm Beach County Jail pending his transfer to Flagler County.
Investigators said a Crime Stoppers tip and the unique nature of the gun used helped lead them to Bova, who had purchased the gun legally last year at a Volusia County gun store.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement crime lab matched the three shell casings found at the scene to the gun.
Rosado was 32 years old and mother of six children -- the youngest 1 and the oldest 16 and attending Flagler Palm Coast High School.
Manfre said while the arrest was made Thursday, "We wanted to make certain that the family understood exactly what we had uncovered. That wasn't happening until this morning."
Rosado's husband, Ulisses Angel-Perez, told Channel 4, "He's going to be where he needs to be -- behind bars -- for the rest of his life."

Their children have now separated, some living in Puerto Rico with other relatives.
"(The killer) destroyed my life, because I still don't know what to do," Angel-Perez said. "I'm just still thinking about my family and I don't have anything left at all. I don't really know what to do."
