GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Angelique Perrin says when serial rape suspect Michael Frye was arrested last month in Ocala, she was beyond relieved.
"Turn on the news, sure enough it was the guy that I picked out in the lineup, and I still wasn't sure. Then I heard him talk. As soon as I heard his voice, I knew," Perrin said. "There's no doubt in my mind. No doubt in my mind."

Perrin said that on July 5, she accepted a ride home after leaving a restaurant across the street from the University of Florida. Instead, she said the man drove her to an abandoned trailer park, beat and raped her. She said she fought back and was able to run away into the woods.
Over the next three months, investigators say there were at least four more similar rapes that would get increasingly brutal.
Then, about two weeks ago, authorities in Marion County arrested 37-year-old Frye at his home. Frye has proclaimed his innocence since his arrest, but a judge charged him with the four cases in the Ocala area.
As Frye sits in the Marion County Jail, he has not been charged in Perrin's case. She says once the evidence from her attack comes back, she hopes that will change.
"If you put my composite sketch up to the a mug shot, it's uncanny," Perrin said.
Perrin has to be patient, but the wait is easier now.
"I feel a lot safer. I feel a lot better," she said.
She just wants to know more about the man investigators have charged in a series of violent attacks.
"I just really, honestly, want to know why, as a married man for 20 years, with a wife and three children and what seemed on the outside to be a halfway decent home, what possesses somebody to do something like that to total strangers?" Perrin said. "I do feel a sense of sadness for his wife and his family because their whole lives have changed as well."
Perrin and her fiance now say they're trying to start a website to help other rape victims across the country. They say they also plan on campaigning for more victims' rights and harsher penalties for sex offenders.
Frye remains in jail without bail. He's scheduled to be arraigned in court later this month.
