JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Northeast Florida shoppers in all areas of the city will have a new, convenient option for their grocery shopping needs when three Walmart Neighborhood Markets open Wednesday.
The stores will open following brief ribbon-cutting ceremonies at each location. The stores are about 40,000-square-feet and will be open from 6 a.m. to midnight, seven days a week, offering a variety of groceries, pharmacy services and household goods.
The stores are located at:
- 8011 Merrill Road, Suite 9, in Jacksonville
- 10550 Old Saint Augustine Road in Jacksonville
- 2570 County Road 220 in Middleburg
The Walmart Neighborhood Market format offers quick and convenient shopping, with a full grocery department, including organic and natural selections. The stores feature a fresh produce, a deli, self-serve bakery, prepared food options, fresh-baked breads and more.
The first Walmart Neighborhood Market opened in 1998, and there are now approximately 250 of them nationwide.
The new stores combine to employ about 200 full- and part-time associates.
