Wells Fargo bank robber sought in St. Augustine

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Police in St. Augustine are looking for a man who robbed a Wells Fargo bank Friday morning.

Officers said the man walked into the bank at 24 Cathedral Place just after 9 a.m. and handed a note to a teller demanding money. The man claimed to have a bomb, police said.

The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of money, and the man left through the east door into the rear parking lot of the bank.

Officers and tracking K9s were searching the area to try to find the man, whose described as white and in his 40s to early 50s.
