JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Wolfson Children's Hospital will hold its third annual Christmas in July Toy and Clothing Drive on Friday.
Every year, Child Life staff and volunteers with Wolfson and Baptist Health collect new, unwrapped toys, art supplies and educational items for medically complex kids staying in the hospital.
This year, Child Life is including new clothing as part of the drive to help meet the needs of patients of all ages. The staff will be accepting infant onesies (preemie to 24-month size), underwear for boys and girls of all ages and yoga pants for teen girls.
The hospital is also hosting a Virtual Christmas in July Toy Drive and is accepting online financial donations to purchase developmentally appropriate toys.
Child Life has created a downloadable PDF wish list to help the community know what is needed.
Online donations will also help purchase items for two groups who receive fewer gifts: infants and teens.
The drive will be Friday, July 25, 2014 from 7 a.m - 2 p.m and donors can drop off items at Wolfson Children's Hospital in the rotunda.
Other drop-off locations include Chase Bank, Whataburger, RPM Automotive and Baby Gap and Gap Kids at the St. Johns Town Center. Donors can drop off at these locations from now until Thursday.
