ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – A St. Johns County woman has been charged with a felony and misdemeanor as the result of an incident in Ponte Vedra in July in which her pit bulls attacked another woman while she was walking her small dog.
Julie Shumer had been cited for her dogs' behavior previously, and both had been declared dangerous.

Deputies said Janace "Kathy" Dolittle was walking her dog when they were attacked. Her dog was killed and she was bitten.
Shumer was not listed on the St. Johns County jail website.
