Man, 20, dies in I-10 wreck near Live Oak

SUWANNEE COUNTY, Fla. – A 20-year-old man died Friday afternoon in a one-vehicle wreck that temporarily closed westbound Interstate 10 near Live Oak.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Ian Raymond McKeever of Lynn Haven, Florida, was traveling westbound on I-10 at an apparent high rate of speed around 4 p.m. Friday.

McKeever lost control of his Toyota Tundra truck, traveled down the grass shoulder and struck a tree. The vehicle wrapped around the tree.

The highway was closed as a medical helicopter landed on the interstate and then transported McKeever to the Lake City Medical Center, where he died.
